In 2009, Ian did what many dream of but rarely action – turning his favourite outdoor sport into a full-time business. Here's his story in today's Sydney Morning Herald.

Another entrepreneur who harnessed his adventurous spirit to start his own business is Ian Wells, founder of Royal Coast Walks. Wells grew up in Sydney's Sutherland Shire and spent his youth exploring webs of tracks and coves through the Royal National Park. But he didn't recognise an opportunity until he spent time overseas.

“I've trekked the Andes, the Himalayas, the Pyrenees, the Alps – I absolutely love the outdoors and saw that in those places there were people that had great business models showing international visitors their backyard,” he says. “I thought if they can do it there, why can't I do it here?”
